Text entered in a search box, such as a name, telephone number, or address, goes to the outside provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a separate copy of those searches. When you send us a message, we receive the information you include and use it to answer you.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems create ordinary server logs containing an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate to maintain the site and learn which resources are useful. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
How We Use Information
The limited data described above helps us run the service, diagnose faults, measure visits, and improve content. We neither sell a visitor list nor assemble personal user profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to government portals, Rowan County and state offices, library collections, and outside search services. Information submitted after leaving this site is controlled by the destination's privacy policy. Sponsored search results are also delivered by an outside company under its own rules.
Parties That Process Data
Hosting and support vendors process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatic information already described. We also comply with valid legal process requiring disclosure. Visitor data is not otherwise shared.
Our Security Measures
An encrypted connection delivers the site. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for the stated purposes. Since visitors do not create accounts, we hold no site password or account profile for you.
People Under Age 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly gather personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if a minor submitted personal data so we can remove it.
Your Data Rights
Your location may give you rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held by a website. North Carolina does not currently have a comprehensive all-industry consumer privacy law granting a universal data-broker deletion right; protections include the Identity Theft Protection Act at N.C.G.S. ยงยง75-60 et seq. Because we retain little, we can check our contact mailbox and server logs for a request. Use the Contact page. Records maintained by Salisbury, Rowan County, or North Carolina remain under the custodian's control.
